ITC Technician
Location: Fresno, California (Hybrid/Flexible options considered)

Cyber Professor is seeking a dedicated and hands-on ITC Technician to provide essential frontline technical support, installation, and maintenance for our organization's hardware, software, and basic network infrastructure. Reporting to the IT Analyst, this role is crucial for ensuring that our staff, volunteers, and educational platforms operate smoothly. The ITC Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving day-to-day IT issues, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with the physical setup and configuration of IT equipment, directly contributing to our mission's success.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware & Software Support
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS) and various software applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, specialized educational tools).
Perform routine hardware diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades.
Help Desk & User Support
Provide timely and friendly technical assistance to staff and volunteers, in person, via phone, or through remote support tools.
Respond to and resolve IT support tickets, escalating complex issues to the IT Analyst as needed.
Guide users through basic troubleshooting steps and common IT procedures.
Network & Connectivity
Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi connectivity, printer connections, and internet access issues.
Perform basic network cabling and patch panel management.
Set up and configure network devices like routers, switches, and access points under guidance.
Asset Management & Inventory
Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software assets, including tracking deployments and disposals.
Label and organize IT equipment in storage.
Documentation
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal IT documentation, including step-by-step guides for common issues and system configurations.
Physical Setup & Maintenance
Prepare and set up IT equipment for new hires, events, training sessions, or office moves.
Perform preventative maintenance on IT equipment (e.g., cleaning, dusting, cable management).
Ensure physical security of IT assets.
Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the IT Analyst and IT Project Manager on various IT initiatives and projects.
Potentially work with and provide basic guidance to community college IT interns on tasks such as site surveys or equipment inventory.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
An Associate's degree or completion of a vocational IT program is highly preferred.
Certifications: CompTIA A+ certification is required. CompTIA A+ and Network+ or are a strong plus.
Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in an IT help desk, technical support, or similar hands-on IT role.
Demonstrable experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Windows (10/11) and Apple macOS operating systems.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) or Google Workspace.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi networking concepts.
Experience with ticketing systems for managing support requests.
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for end-users.
