ITC Analyst

Cyber Professor is seeking a diligent and technically proficient ITC Analyst to provide essential technical support, perform system analysis, and assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT solutions critical to our nonprofit's operations and educational initiatives. Reporting directly to the IT Project Manager, the IT Analyst will play a hands-on role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our technology systems, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to project success through detailed analysis and reliable execution.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Provide first and second-tier technical support for hardware, software, network, and system issues experienced by staff, volunteers, and users of Cyber Professor platforms.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently, escalating complex issues to the IT Project Manager as needed.
Manage support tickets and maintain clear communication with users regarding issue resolution.
System Analysis & Documentation
Assist the IT Project Manager in gathering and documenting technical requirements for projects and system enhancements.
Conduct research and analysis on potential IT solutions, tools, and technologies to support organizational needs.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, user manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Implementation & Maintenance
Support the deployment, configuration, and testing of new hardware, software applications, and network components.
Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls for various systems.
Assist in tracking and managing IT assets, including inventory, licensing, and lifecycle management.
Adhere to cybersecurity best practices and assist in promoting a security-conscious environment within the organization.
Collaboration & Project Support
Work closely with the IT Project Manager to execute project tasks and achieve project milestones.
Collaborate with other team members, content creators, and volunteers to provide solutions to technical needs.
Mentor and provide guidance to IT interns, assisting them with their project tasks.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an IT support, help desk, or IT analyst role.
Experience working with various operating systems (Windows, macOS), office productivity suites (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), and common business applications.
Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi, basic routing/switching).
Technical Skills
Strong hardware and software troubleshooting abilities.
Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
Basic understanding of cloud services (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) is a plus.
Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices.
